An electrical tester which combines a Multimeter with a current se nsor is known as a clamp meter. The probes in the device measure voltage, whereas the current. The clamp are the hinged jaws joined to an electric meter that allows users to clamp around the cable/wire using a clamp meter, the wire/cable to be measured is not disconnected.
