We are interested in the result produced by the computer after it has operated on data. The output from the computer is also essential for proper man -machine interaction. The primary device for producing output from the computer are printers and monitor. They are widely used as basic output devices like plotter, speaker, magnetic tape, floppy disks etc. Plotters are used in CAD packages to get output of mechanical and architectural drawings, scientific charts, and maps on paper. A plotter utilizes a pen to draw continuous lines to produce diagrams. As a result the figures appear very smooth. Some of the plotters use set of colour pens to produce coloured output. In applications likes multimedia speakers are used as output devices to produce sound and music . It is important to be aware that magnetic media are also used as output devices. The magnetic media such as magnetic tape, floppy disk and hard disk have the capacity to store data. It can be used to store the input data files as well as output files produced after processing of data. The stored information can then be used when required in future applications .
