Create Header or Footer
- Open the document to which want to add a header or footer.
- On the Insert tab, in Header and Footer group, click Header or Footer.
- The header or footer area will be displayed along with the special contextual Header and Footer Tools Design tab.
- You also can do this by double - clicking the top area of the document where a header located.
- Type the text you want displayed in the header.
- To switch between the header and footer. Click the Go To Header or Go To Footer icons in the Navigation group.
- To insert a page number, click Page Number in the Header and Footer group.
- When finished, double - click in the document area or click the close Header And Footer button in the Close group.
