Japanese automaker Kawasaki has unveiled the 2019 edition of its sports bike, the Z400.
The Z400, which is likely to arrive in India by the end of this year, is based on company's flagship motorcycle, the Ninja 400, which was unveiled in August this year.
Notably, the sports tourer comes with a naked design as against the fully-faired look of its cousin.

The 2019 Kawasaki Z400 sits on a trellis steel frame and features a semi-faired design with a dual-tone paint scheme, a muscular-looking fuel tank, and split seats.
The motorcycle houses a semi-digital instrument console and an all-LED lighting setup for headlamps, indicators, and taillights.
Also, it now gets two new black/orange and black/green color options.
Power and performance
The Kawasaki Z400 is powered by a 399cc liquid-cooled, DOHC engine which is capable of producing 49PS of power and 38Nm of peak torque. The motorcycle houses a six-speed manual gearbox and a slipper clutch to handle transmission duties.

In terms of safety, the Kawasaki Z400 comes equipped with disc brakes on both wheels along with dual-channel ABS for improved road handling.
It houses telescopic forks on the front and a monoshock unit on the rear to handle the suspension duties.
Further, the motorcycle promises a mileage of 26kmpl.

When will it arrive in India?

When will it arrive in India?
There is no word on 2020 Kawasaki Z400's India launch as of now. However, according to Bikedekho, the company might introduce the naked sports tourer in the country by 2019-end or in the Q1 2020.
As for the pocket pinch, it is likely to cost somewhere around Rs. 4.5 lakh.
