BMW launches M5 Competition in India at Rs. 1.55 crore

German automaker BMW has launched the ultra-premium M5 Competition sedan in India.
Priced at Rs. 1.55 crore, the latest model comes at a premium of Rs. 12 lakh over the standard M5 variant.
Notably, the luxury car arrives in the country through completely built-up (CBU) route and is currently available via BMW dealerships.

The BMW M5 Competition comes with revamped front as well as rear bumpers, M5 Competition badging on the grille, and M-specific dual exhausts.
The car also gets glossy black accents on the kidney grille, ORVMs, and rear spoiler.
Further, it comes with an all-LED lighting setup for headlights, DRLs, turn indicators, and taillamps.

Inside the cabin

The BMW M5 Competition comes with a five-seater cabin with M-specific sport seats, a carbon-fiber roof, and a leather wrapped multifunctional steering wheel.
The sedan sports a 12.3-inch fully-digital instrument console and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Also, it gets 600W 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, BMW head-up display (HUD), and wireless charging support.

Power and performance

Power and performance
The BMW M5 Competition packs the 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine, like the standard model. However, it is tuned differently and produces 625bhp of power and 750Nm of peak torque.
The car gets an 8-speed automatic gearbox which sends power to all the wheels via BMW's M xDrive all-wheel-drive system.
Moreover, it can do a 0-100kmph sprint in 3.3 seconds.

The BMW M5 Competition comes equipped with disc brakes on all the wheels along with ABS, EBD, and traction control for improved road handling.
The car also offers eight airbags and a bunch of other driver centric features like dynamic stability control (DSC), automatic stability control (ASC), and cornering brake control (CBC).

As far as pricing is concerned, the BMW M5 Competition costs Rs. 1.55 crore, which is Rs. 12 lakh costlier than the standard M5 model. The luxury sedan is now available for purchase via BMW dealerships across the country.
