Best-Looking Mid-Engined Ferraris

Best-Looking Mid-Engined Ferraris

The F430 was an evolution of the 360 Modena, with sharper edges and a honed fascia. It looks a whole lot more purposeful, and seriously cool.
An updated version of the Ferrari 365 GT4 BB, the 512i BB took a risk by bringing back the legendary 512 name. With a 5.0-liter, 12-cylinder engine, the name fit, and it didn't hurt that the car was extremely good looking. In fact, one man thought the 512i BB was so good looking, he built an entire room around his.
Using a 2.8-liter V8 and two turbochargers, the 288 GTO was one of many homologation specials from Ferrari. It was based on the 308 GTB and was designed to compete in Group B, the crazy race class that gave us the Ford RS200 and the Renault 5 Turbo. Sadly, Group B was canceled before the GTO got to race, but at least we got the road cars.
Compared to the Ferrari 348 it replaced, the F355 got a larger V8, a significant boost in horsepower, improved aerodynamics, and a more refined driving experience. It also happens to sound incredible. Its styling has also aged well, perhaps looking even better than it did when it was first introduced.
After several years of the 360 and F430's relatively uninspired designs, Ferrari wowed with the beautiful 458 Italia. The car drove as good as it looked, too, hitting 60 miles per hour in less than three seconds and in our testing, we said that if it had a flaw, it was possibly being too intense.
